About Us
Welcome to Amutat Chetz, The Association of Religious Paratrooper Soldiers.
Our organization was founded in 2020 by David Solooki and Shai Adler in response to the unique challenges faced by IDF combat soldiers. We understand that military service can be a difficult and stressful experience, particularly for ultra-orthodox soldiers who often face additional challenges related to their family background, socio-economic status, and life circumstances.
At Amutat Chetz, our mission is to provide support and guidance for these soldiers through mentorship programs, housing for "lone-soldiers", and specialized post-army tracks. We believe that all soldiers deserve the support and resources they need to thrive both during and after their time in the military.
Join us in our mission to support and empower ultra-orthodox soldiers in the IDF. Browse our website to learn more about our programs and how you can get involved.
What We Do
"Big Brother"
Through our Big-Brother program, we have paired all of our 200+ soldiers with mentors who are recent graduates of the unit. Our volunteers have spent countless hours visiting the soldiers on base, running educational and team building activities, and providing unconditional support. In many cases, our volunteers are among the first people a soldier speaks to in times of crisis or success.

"Lone soldier" Apartment
We operate a “lone soldier” apartment in the heart of Jerusalem that provides a home for 6 lone soldiers in Chetz. Our Madrich and Av Bayit ensure that it is always stocked with food and that our Soldiers have a family to go to for a warm Shabbat meal when they are off base.
"Chetz Le'Atid"
Many of the soldiers come to the unit in search of community and need increased support when they finish the army.“Chetz Le’Atid,” is our initiative to give alumni the skills necessary to integrate into the Israeli workforce. We currently run vocational testing for all our soldiers and plan to create specific tracks to ensure their success once they are released.
